Cashmere/wool pinstripe deadstock, wool and 100% silk haori 羽織 (a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono originally designed for samurai as a practical outer layer for warmth and protection), with metallic embroidery motif textiles from Japan and hand-stitched silk kimono panels. The hand-stitched silk kimono panels are meticulously assembled from repurposed scraps, with every seam and detail entirely stitched by hand, honoring traditional craftsmanship and zero-waste design.
The original kimono seams and motifs are preserved, honoring the garment's history and craftsmanship. Zero-waste design through patchwork techniques.
Unisex, relaxed fit with a structured feel while maintaining the fluidity of silk. Shell buttons, 1930s-1960s. Raw edge detailing throughout. Each garment is cut individually by hand. One of a kind.
