I've been making these flowers from the smallest pieces of silk I have left over.
I cut and stitch each one by hand from vintage kimono textiles and other reclaimed silk. No two are exactly alike.

Commissions
I take on commissions, from custom garments and textile works to repairs, embellishment, and reworking existing pieces. I develop each project through conversation, design, and handwork in the studio.
Considered Objects is my ongoing textile practice based in New York City.
I work with vintage and antique silk kimonos, reclaimed textiles, and existing garments to make one-of-one clothing, accessories, and textile works.
My work is made slowly and by hand. I'm interested in what happens when we look at something familiar again. An old textile, a scrap, or a garment that might otherwise be discarded can become something worth keeping.
