N° 10 paulownia kimono overshirt
edition 01, 1 of 1
The pattern is cut from a 'Kuro-tomesode,' a formal kimono with designs along the bottom of the skirt worn by married women on ceremonial occasions. A typical feature of the Kuro-tomesode is the number of 'Kamon' (family crest). This kimono is adorned with the 'Kiri', paulownia crest.
The work of art pattern is created by 'Yuzen'’ a Japanese resist dyeing technique by hand featuring crane pairs, gold thread hand embroidery, and floral designs, and is fully lined with Japanese vintage kimono silk.
